Daemon there is no denying that some of your gains are gotten illegitimately. We've turned a blind eye on hacking and we'd like to crack down on it after the reset. Additionally all prices are being revaluated to prevent stuff like raid farms from being as profitable as they are.

There's no way to verify the claim that you lost it all so it'd be safe to assume you're not being truthful about that. In fact, I have a source within aedi's staff that tells me you still have quite a suspiciously large sum of money making it all the more likely you're fibbing. Raid farms take large amounts of money (that you got from exploits as you admit) in order to purchase the spawners and other necessary materials. This means new players can't even hope to be anywhere near as rich as you. I see you're trying to make this about me by implying that I'm somehow jealous of your Minecraft balance when in fact my only concern is for new and less affluent players in general. Nice try rationalizing the unrationalizable, anyhow.

You admit yourself in this very post you've enriched yourself off exploits which is very unfair because they've since been patched meaning nobody else can hope to benefit and exploits are unfair advantages in and of themselves patched or not. You're just mad that you're going to lose all your ill begotten gains in a stroke of poetic justice. My advice, cope. Also, it's you're, not your (making your whole argument invalid I might add).

No reset. Your just mad you don’t wanna afk for an hour and get 1.1m. Dude the way I used to gain money was obtainable by everyone. All this “old world” money I lost multiple times from server crashes, loses saved data, and corrupted backups and failed updates. The current 55m I made with modern cash methods. No Evoker spawners, No dupes, Just 55 hours of afk.

A full reset would be in order. A partial reset wouldn't serve its purpose of evening the playing field so to speak. Great inequality brought on by exploitation plagues this server and must be corrected for. Storage of wealth via your ender chest would undermine the ultimate end we're trying to reach by executing this reset in the first place. We must commence as planned with an absolute reset of the entire server, otherwise our efforts would be in vain.

We've decided to reset the survival server entirely on May 24. This means that all claims, worlds and Essentials data will be wiped in order to start fresh. The overworld that we've all spent time building on won't be deleted; it will instead be preserved and made available for download.

A server reset will give us the opportunity to rethink many core elements of the survival server, including the Towny plugin. We have considered replacing the Towny plugin with a more desirable land claiming plugin that accomplishes the same goals as Towny without posing the issues we have run up against while having this plugin on our server. In addition, the economy can be tweaked and players that have joined as the server has grown will be able to run up against others without "old money" getting in the way.

The server will still be an Earth SMP game, however the map will only cover Europe and North Africa instead of the entire world. This is intended to encourage interaction between players and allow for nations in greater proximity to one another.

Here's the plan we've laid out for these next two weeks.

May 18: Total Warfare

On May 18, all protections against declaring war will be lifted and towns/nations will be able to go to war against anyone they please.

May 23: Total Anarchy

On May 23, claims will be removed entirely and the server will essentially devolve into a state of anarchy before the reset. The survival overworld will be saved prior to this event and so no lasting damage will be done to people's creations. :)
